nobody knew that i was coming except for my brother
after thanksgiving dinner…he told the fam
that he was going to pick up a special dessert
and when we got home…
he said the chocolate mousse has arrived
and i stuck my head around the corner
my parents were suitably shocked and delighted
this morning when i came in to the living room
my mom said OH YOU’RE STILL HERE!
I DIDN’T DREAM IT!
i missed these people!!!
and i’d partially forgotten how irritating my father can be
the tension in my shoulders is easing a bit
well water tastes AWESOME
it feels nice to sleep in my old bed
in my old room
i’ve been going through my comic collection…
my mom pronounced that she is “tired of all this singleness”
i raised my eyebrows
and said oh…YOU’RE tired of it?
LMAO
i sat with my paternal grandmother yesterday and she told me stories about her parents. including the fact that the sewing machine in her bedroom was purchased for her by her father when she was 14.

her sewing machine looks JUST like this one
today i went and saw my mom’s parents
i asked my granny if she had any napkins that she’d embroidered that she’d let me have. she took the napkins that were on her table at that moment and told me that i could go through her cedar chest and get whatever i wanted! i got a runner…a table cloth and two pillow cases! i am SO so excited!
then i sat in the living room with my mom, dad and brother and watched charlie brown.
took a nap
woke up and watched conan the barbarian
and my mom taught me double crochet.
i’ll be back in about 4 weeks.
*sigh*
lovely to visit and i’m looking forward to next time…
but i’m glad that i don’t still live here
